Welcome to Holistic Yoga Therapy

Therapeutic Yoga for Whole-person Wellness

BODY  •  MIND  •  CIRCUMSTANCE  •  ENERGY

Holistic care considers the whole person: body, mind, circumstance, and energy rather than any single symptom in isolation. Yoga therapy takes this same approach to health and well-being, deepening the relationship between self, others, and the world, including the discomfort carried in the body, a challenging pace of the mind, the weight carried in the heart, the transitions that reshape a life, and the energetic balance between rest and activation.

Blending timeless tradition with research-backed science, therapeutic yoga supports those managing stress, anxiety, and burnout, as well as chronic pain, fatigue, supports functional movement for longevity, and serves as an effective tool for pre and post operative care. An inclusive, adaptive practice built on a collaborative therapeutic relationship, it offers a unique path toward well-being

Sessions are offered one-on-one and in small groups, supporting individuals, community organizations,

and centers alike.  Using The Whole-person Approach, therapeutic tailored sessions are offered in person or virtually.

Like so many people after quarantine, I found myself struggling with anxiety and depression. I was relying on prescription medication and alcohol just to get through each day and had little motivation beyond surviving.

Janel created a personalized program that met me exactly where I was, with compassion, patience, and practical, manageable steps. Even the small "snacks" of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness began to shift something in me. Over time, I felt stronger, more connected to myself, and more motivated to care for my body and mind.

Eleven months later, I've weaned off antidepressants, stopped drinking nightly, exercise regularly, sleep through the night, and truly enjoy life again. Janel's guidance gave me the tools and confidence to create lasting change, and I will always be grateful for her wisdom, empathy, and unwavering support

Sara W.

~ 46 yrs old

As an 80-year-old seeking both physical relief and greater peace of mind, I came to yoga therapy hoping  bring more balance to my life, and address arthritic pain and limited mobility in my hips and hands.

The sessions were thoughtful and personalized. Over the course of our work together, I noticed a greater sense of calm and less mental clutter. I also gained practical tools and renewed motivation to support my well-being through consistent self-care.
I would recommend Janel's yoga therapy services to anyone seeking a supportive, individualized approach to greater balance, self-awareness, and well-being
